RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012 Bronze Award
First Ark has been awarded a bronze award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012 in recognition of our approach to the prevention of accidents and ill health. Run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents this is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. We were presented with the award at a special ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 17th May.
Considerate Constructors Scheme 2011 - Bronze
KHT Services has won a Bronze Considerate Constructors Scheme 2011 National Award for its work on the contract with Villages Housing Association. Selection for the Awards came from the top 7% performers in the country so we are extremely proud of the achievement.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a non-profit organisation founded to help improve the image of the construction industry. Sites and companies that register with the scheme are monitored against an eight-point Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage performance beyond statutory requirements. These categories are: Considerate, Environment, Appearance, Good Neighbour, Respectful, Safety, Responsible and Accountable.
Our work with Villages was particularly commended for the high standards reached in six of the eight categories, and also for its exceptional achievements in the ‘Environment’ category.
