About this deal

As one of the ingredients is isopropyl alcohol (20%) it is probably not a good idea to spray a plant with it. This is stop my puppy chewing on things he shouldn’t but the effect is not permanent so items need to be re sprayed as and when necessary. I give my dog his meds with peanut butter on them, and he has the peculiar habit of nibbling on his legs afterwards, leaving peanut butter stains in his fur.

Ok it wasn't really a shrink, but she did analyze all of his behaviors and told me how I should be reacting, or more to the point how I should not react. Since your pet has such a strong sense of smell, taste deterrents work through your pet's sense of smell. With a little understanding of the reasons why our beloved cats begin doing this behavior, we can take positive steps toward finding a resolution.

This product has a bitter taste which animals don't like, but I'm not sure that it would deter a cat from scratching. Taste deterrents are one of many tools that should be used to teach your pet what they can chew and what they can't.

Posts are for general information, are not intended to substitute for informed professional advice (medical, legal, veterinary, financial, etc. The only way to tell the difference between medical and behavioral causes is to have the urine checked by a veterinarian. He is not just doing this to annoy you or because he got mad as cats do not think like that - he may not feel well and is trying to let you know about it.Chewing is a normal part of rabbit behaviour so I strongly advise getting some chew toys for your bunny. Or, tbh, when I used it on Emmett, he never really seemed to notice the sting, though he’s the same dog who didn’t even flinch when he got staples at the vet’s office, so I’m not sure he’s a fair comparison… Best of luck with your little dog! Secondly, if your dog has a chewing/licking problem, something skin-related or a small wound that he just won’t leave alone (EMMETT) then this is the thing for you. The spray does not harm the finish on real wood furniture however some other surfaces may be stained.
