About this deal

The removal of two steps of the plating process also reveals musical details and dynamics that would otherwise be lost due to the standard multi-step process. Adderley’s band was as tight and compact as he was in stature, and it’s brilliant to hear on this record, the songs on which Miles Davis steps in, participating in like style and fashion, yet letting those signature Miles Davis elements shine through . This collector’s version takes you there – there being Rudy Van Gelder’s legendary New Jersey studio in March 1958 to witness it all unfold, again and again. That’s not all: His clear lines create a common understanding that spreads across the bandstand, slyly shaping the entire performance. They’re able to seize and work with them in part because each is rendered with such respectful clarity.

The premium packaging and beautiful presentation of the UD1S Somethin’ Else pressing befit its extremely select status. It’s the sound of a circuit being created in the moment, sprouting arms and branches and new directions as it travels around the bandstand.Somethin' Else is an album by American jazz saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, recorded on March 9, 1958 and released on Blue Note in August later that year—his only album for the label. Also on the session is trumpeter Miles Davis in one of his handful of recording dates for Blue Note. The twelve-bar blues "One for Daddy-O" was written by Adderley's brother Nat for Chicago radio DJ Holmes "Daddy-O" Daylie. Housed in a deluxe slipcase, it features special foil-stamped jackets and faithful-to-the-original graphics that illuminate the splendour of the recording.

This high-definition formula also allows for the creation of cleaner grooves that are indistinguishable from the original lacquer. and while Jazz at first seems to control the environment, it didn’t take me long to adjust my seating, find my footing and slip into the groove, totally engulfed .Throughout its history, Mobile Fidelity has remained true to this goal, pioneering state-of-the-art technologies and setting audiophile standards that remain in place today. Address in back cover should be printed with Serif font and is considered the first printing, per Fred Cohen's "A guide for Identifying Original Pressings", page 105. With UD1S, every aspect of vinyl production is optimized to produce the best-sounding vinyl album available today.
