You will also need an A2 piece of card, I brought this in red because I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of painting it. Imaginative or small world play is a staple in my house and in my classroom (I've shared many to an album on FB) and 'Dear Zoo' lends itself beautifully to this type of play. Young children will love lifting the flaps to discover the animals the zoo has sent a monkey, a lion and even an elephant!
