My girls have been sewing on their own badges this way to their uniforms and campfire blankets since they joined Beavers.

As a leader I find that when it is time to remove badges as they move sections, earn a higher level or if the time for wearing the badge has elapsed then glue damages the badges and the uniform which can mean the badge can not be transfered to their blanket to be kept as a memory and the uniform has a nasty stain on it.
