It uses strawberry fruit and seed extract to reduce hyperpigmentation, unclog pores, and reduce excess oil, plus hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump. It is excellent for acne-prone skin and safe to use even if you have fungi-related skin issues, like seborrhea or fungal acne. Most of the time I can just play up the shine as a “dewy” factor, so maybe it’s a win-win situation.
It works to illuminate, plump, and perk up complexions in the short- and long-term, even after just one use — and it relies on an ingredient I know works: vitamin C.
The problem, though, is that it's very unstable, turns brown and becomes ineffective in no time (after a few month) and the cosmetics industry is trying to come up with smart derivatives that are stable and have the magic properties of pure Vitamin C. Like the spinach I try to mix into every bowl of pasta I eat, I know it’s good for me, and I want to make it a habit. Waking up has become exhilarating: Am I going to be looking at a red and blotchy complexion or something more glowy and bright?
