About this deal

Long deleted and never released on CD, Roadhawks finally makes its official debut on Atomhenge. The reissue has been re-mastered from the original United Artists master tapes, fully restores the album artwork and includes a replica Roadhawks poster originally included with the first pressing of the album. So it is clear the new model weight is slightly more than the last model from the above. However you can't notice the difference and they still feel super light. I liked the heel drop on the previous Roadhawks, as it seemed to make me run on my forefoot more. It being a bit lower on the new Roadhawks was a concern at first for me, but after using them they seemed to be fine; the forefoot height was slightly higher and again didn’t trouble me. So I loved the original Roadhawks and I did write a blog review last year. So I couldn’t wait until I got my hands on the new Roadhawk FF2. I was very interested to see if this new version was any better? I loved the old model and had quite a lot of pairs. I used them in my speed sessions and my races where they provided me with 5k, 10 miler and Half marathon PB’S. C'est avec cette compil de 1976 achetée par un copain que j'ai découvert Hawkwind, lui n'est pas devenu fan, moi si. Elle couvre les six premières années du groupe, le plus psychédéliques, pour beaucoup, les meilleures.

Esoteric Recordings and Atomhenge, the home of the Hawkwind catalogue, release a newly re-mastered edition of the classic Hawkwind compilation Roadhawks. Originally released in 1976, the album brought to a close the first era of this legendary band, gathering together highlights from the band’s first five albums and featuring the classic singles Silver Machine and Urban Guerilla. Independent research by the Motoring Industry Research Association (MIRA) has shown that tyres with 3mm of tread have an average 25% better performance than those at 1.6mm. This represents an extra 8 metres of stopping distance in wet conditions! Safety - poor tyre pressure/tread depth can lead to the higher risk of over/understeering, increased braking distances and aquaplaning.

Mike from Ho Chi Minh City, OtherYeah, they used to play in Worthing quite regularly (up until I left England)...maybe still do? All through marathon training I found the shoes very comfortable, had no issues with blisters / hot spots. No issues with knees or anything else. There were the usual aches and pains and niggles of course, but that is to be expected with running five days a week.

I would also recommend that if you are changing to a new running shoe, especially one that is a different style, don’t go steaming straight out in them. Start off with some short distances at an easy pace to get your body used to the change in the style of running. I learnt this the hard way a few years ago when going out for a 15 mile run in brand new trainers. My achilles didn’t agree with that approach and I was side lined for 7 weeks. Not what you want when you’ve got some nice new shoes to use. I think the RoadHawks did slightly change how I ran. Previously I had been much more of a heel striker yet in the RoadHawks found I had moved to having more of a midfoot strike just behind the toes. Not an easy task to be fair as the seventies output provided many of the classic moments of the Hawkwind catalogue and in hindsight could be considered their early peak on which they didn’t always build. style>
