About this deal

Grogu didn’t know why the Mandalorian hadn’t realized that bounty hunters and Imps and bad people would go to any length to find him and try to use him for what ever purpose they had in mind. After all, Din didn’t collect Grogu from the Imps. He collected him for the Imps. Sorgan was a pretty planet and Grogu thought it was a nice place to visit but when Din admitted that he had wanted to leave Grogu there, Grogu was not happy with the Mandalorian. Sure the kids were fun and the frogs were plentiful, but that didn’t mean that they should break up their partnership. Did it? So he wondered why the Creed insisted that Mandalorians wear the helmets all the time when other people were around. He knew they saw all the same things he saw. It didn’t protect them from horror. It didn’t spare them sadness or pain. It didn’t help them with frustration and aggravation. They still saw things. But Grogu wondered why people ended up having a bounty placed on them. After all, in his case, he was just an innocent. The Empire was gone. The New Republic didn’t want him for anything. You don’t put a bounty on a person for taking frogs, right? But Grogu wasn’t sure that odds that had less than a 95% confidence interval with lots of data that had been corrected for bias (explicit and implicit) were really what anyone should find likable. Certainly the Mandalorian thought that he would be making an impact on those odds and improving them substantially for the outcome he wanted. But what if someone else had more power to implement what they wanted? Where would they be then?

But if what was taken from you came in all sorts of makes and models with features you could choose… well how did you make that choice? Grogu really didn’t know. He’d only ever had his floaty thing, his coverall, and now the silver knob from the Old Razor Crest. That was it for his possessions. Ever. Grogu had been flipping through vids of the various places he had traveled with the Mandalorian. Apparently Din’s helmet was able to take vids of things whenever he wanted. Grogu was surprised to see what sort of vids the Mandalorian bounty hunter took and asked to see them. Din had been happy to comply. He realized that he’d complained about that before. Womp rats weren’t small, they weren’t people, and they were most definitely not cute. Grogu had it on good authority that he was cute despite all the ways he wasn’t a human or any other type of person. If they saw the things that he saw then their souls had to deal with all that stuff too. But if the could hide their souls what did that do for them? How did it help them? He just couldn’t figure that out. Not really. The 2023 LEGO City Advent Calendar makes a great gift for kids aged 5 and up. Each surprise toy comes with easy step-by-step building instructions to ensurethat even new LEGO builders can enjoy a fun build-and-play experience. He wondered what the Jedi would have done? Walk right into the cave and use the Force to kill it? That didn’t seem right. The Force connected all living things. It must connect to a Krayt dragon ‘cause those things were definitely alive. Or maybe they would use their light sabers? They could dig a pit and wait for the Krayt dragon to move over them and then… well you know. But how they felt wasn’t really seen. Had someone told them a long time ago that the eyes were the windows of the soul? He knew Mandalorians believed in souls. Were they trying to protect their souls? Or hide them? He guessed it was the later. Grogu didn’t think that person had survived that experience. Had he killed them? That had certainly saved the rest of them, but at what cost? And IG-11 had killed a lot of troopers when he was acting as Grogu’s protector and nanny. Was that why the Mandalorian had wanted the droid to be rebuilt? Because he was such an effective weapon? Now that he was a Mandalorian foundling, would he need to become a member of a religion that included weapons? He didn’t really know. He was much smaller than humans and he hadn’t met any Mandalorians who weren’t also human. At least he thought that they were human. It was hard to tell with the helmets and armor.

Customer reviews

Grogu had spent enough of his time in empty spaces trying to stay away from people. Staying right where he was. Not moving. That had been pretty awful and he didn’t really want to repeat that. Plus, the Mandalorian needed Grogu handy incase something bad happened and someone needed to be healed. How do you go on an adventure and not bring the first aid kit? It made no sense. Who was going to feed Grogu? Or make him broth? Or keep him company? It’s not like the Mandalorian had a droid or a mech. It was just he and Grogu and Grogu didn’t think the human should be left alone. He needed help to get stuff done. Didn’t he realize that? Apparently not. Eventually people like Moff Gideon would run out of supporters, or credits, or equipment, or troopers. The way the Moff treated them, that was likely to happen sooner rather than later. Which was just fine from Grogu’s perspective. The sooner Gideon was on his own with nothing to his name, the better. Now that was a good question. Did the armor Mandalorians wore prevent them from appreciating a beautiful spring day? Did they not notice how pretty summers were because the armor was too hot or they were too sweaty? Did the visor keep them from noticing how leaves changed color in the fall? He already knew it didn’t really help them deal with the cold. They’d been to too many ice ball planets and moons to not notice that.

Grogu found the process of hunting the Krayt dragon to be fascinating. It seemed a lot like bounty hunting. Go to its lair, offer it something it wanted, and then… well you know. Then later that evening you’re eating roast Krayt dragon. Or was is like the Armorer said, that Mandalorians were both the hunter and the prey… did that mean that Mandalorian bounty hunters were hunted while they hunted? Or was that the case for all bounty hunters? They were hunted by each other? They were certainly affected by each other. After all the Mandalorian had to end the original IG-11 because the droid was going to end Grogu. Did that happen a lot between bounty hunters? He was glad about that really. The Tuskens were not bad people or raiders or whatever else other people called them on Tatooine. They were the people who had been living on Tatooine before space travel was a thing and lived as one with the environment. On the other hand he always told his dad ‘thank you’ and said ‘please’ and ‘good job’ and ‘you’re the best’. He didn’t know if the Mandalorian really understood his words but he was pretty sure that he could feel them. He knew that Din Djarin had very deep feelings. He didn’t often show them, but when he did they were sincere and reflected who he truly was under the armor and the training and adherence to dogma. Grogu was ready to protest. Going from ‘womp rat’ to ‘dung worm’ was not the upgrade he was hoping for.

He knew that the Mandalorians had tried to be peaceful. Once. It hadn’t worked. Grogu had wondered if they had ever really wanted it to work? As far as he could tell the answer had probably been no. But when you were a weapon it was hard to be peaceful right? Dimensions – This LEGO® Friends Advent Calendar gift box measures over 9 in. (25 cm) high, 14 in. (37 cm) wide and 2 in. (6 cm) deep He’d felt the same way at the Jedi Temple. The Knights and Masters had been proud of their skills with the lightsaber. And other forms of fighting. And while maybe they avoided killing people more than the Mandalorians had, the Jedi and Mandalorians had spent a fair amount of their mutual histories at war with each other. Perhaps that’s how weapons had become part of their religion? Festive build for kids, friends and families – Enjoy a fun build this festive season with the LEGO® Gingerbread Ornaments (40642) set Grogu did what he knew needed to be done. He followed Din any way. It was okay to have aspirational goals for yourself, but putting them on the shoulders of other people just wasn’t the Way. Right, Din Djarin?

Okay. Not just like him. They didn’t have a floaty chair. They didn’t look like Master Yoda or Master Yaddle. But they could work with the Force and were learning more everyday. Just like him.
