Money Shot Vol. 1 | Book by Tim Seeley, Sarah Beattie

Skull for a Head: Skuloch Prohn's helmet makes them look like this, although it's implied that the skull is a hologram. Physicist Dr. Christine Ocampo is on a mission to discover distant worlds, encounter exotic civilizations, seek out strange species, and, well, get busy with them. Space exploration is expensive business, but science calls and porn pays. It’s weird and zany and risqué and at least a little crass (an ancient alien priest uses his giant magical testicles to fight an army of evil soldiers at one point; I can’t make this up) but it’s also somehow genuine and sincere and I can’t believe how invested I was in the colorful cast of characters that Tim Seeley, Sarah Beattie, Rebekah Isaacs, and Kurt Michael Russell concocted. Working with the Ex: Christine and Omar used to be in a relationship, and so far they've been cordial but the Money Shot initiative, it's gotten more complicated especially with Christine and Bree starting to see each other. In the near future, space travel is ludicrously expensive and largely ignored. Enter Christine Ocampo, inventor of the Star Shot teleportation device with a big idea: She'll travel to new worlds, engage—intimately—with local aliens, and film her exploits for a jaded earth populace trying to find something new on the internet. Now, Chris and her merry band of scientist-cum-pornstars explore the universe, each other, and the complexities of sex in MONEY SHOT!Take That!: Kirk-Supporters are a clear jab at Trump-Supporters; a group of intolerant bigots who are willing to protest anything that offends their personal sensibilities (including scientific-intellectuals, religious and racial minorities) and use the Bible to try and justify it, only to immediately switch gears the moment their figure-head (Luke Kirk) openly contradicts them. In the near future, space travel is ludicrously expensive and largely ignored. Enter Christine Ocampo, inventor of the Star Shot teleportation device with a big idea: She’ll travel to new worlds, engage-intimately-with local aliens, and film her exploits for a jaded earth populace trying to find something new on the internet. Now, Chris and her merry band of scientist-cum-pornstars explore the universe, each other, and the complexities of sex in MONEY SHOT! Single-Biome Planet: In their efforts to escape Dien Pide, the XXX-Plorers manage to open a portal to a random planet. Unfortunately, they wind up stranded on a miniscule island on Epsilon Erudite 9, a planet that is mostly ocean. If the description didn't tip you off, this series is very adult and for is mature readers only. You Have Been Warned. Sex with the Ex: Christine and Omar have sex, but afterwards Christine realizes that it was a mistake.

Money Shot from Vault Comics - League of Comic Geeks

But...I think the story sort of skips some important parts. Like, someone invented what's basically a teleporter, someone else invented a universal translator/automatic drone cameraperson, and those aren't like...sale-able technologies? This storyline is weird and it sounds fun, doesn’t it? I could definitely see this getting a show somewhere like AdultSwim or FXX. Unfortunately as fun as it sounds I think the execution falls flat. The art team did a wonderful job bringing both the eye-catching alien worlds and sexy stuff to life throughout. Isaacs’ art is wonderfully unique and dynamic and fits the (consistent yet colorful) tone flawlessly. Russell’s colors are vibrant and stunning and make every panel look gorgeous. And the story Seeley and Beattie write has no right being as compelling as it is. It’s about porn but it ISN’T porn,” said writer Seeley. “You have no idea how many times I’ve said that about Money Shot. Every time I pitched my Fantastic Four by way of Sex Criminals comic book series over the past three years, no matter how great the idea sounded to the pitchee, no matter how much they loved the art of Rebekah Isaacs, or the idea of bringing on comedian Sarah Beattie, they’d inevitably say ‘Oh, but you can’t sell porn comics. There’s a stink on adult material. No publisher will want it.’”

Money Shot (Comic Book) - TV Tropes

Comic books have always been more forward-thinking, compared to most forms of media, in terms of progression and diversity. Although there is still a misconception that comics are just for kids, those believers haven’t read the likes of Sex Criminals from Image and now Vault Comics have their own title of sex and sci-fi with Money Shot. Minor Characters [ ] Other Characters/Places/Things [ ] Recent Storylines [ ] Money Shot Comes Again #5 [ ] Panspermia: According to Leong, she had found evidence that the common cold originated in Hell. Or more accurately, an alien planet with a suspicious similarity to what humans pictured Hell was like. Commitment Issues: Christine broke it off with Omar because the relationship was getting too serious and was afraid of maintaining it. Omar gives this advice to Bree (who's seeing Christine) that Christine's constantly looking for distractions to avoid commitment. The answer might be that the initial adventure runs five issues, and I think this is a case where length would have benefited the reader, and given Seeley more space to work with. Five issues is not much space to get in a story and introduce five characters to the reader. Much less do enough character work to get a reader to get very invested in the players.Or you could just do what this comic does, and Star Trek it up - make the aliens have human anatomy except for their heads. So yes, the aliens have human genitals, which seems bizarre. (And even the aliens have conventionially beautiful body types.) This is by Seeley. This is soft-porn humor. This is also just junk. The characters are unlikable or at the least you don't care about them. The soft porn isn't titillating (and is largely elided). The science-fiction world is mostly made up of juvenile jokes. The plot isn't interesting. In short, this is dull. Money Shot, vol. 3 - Collects #11-15. "With a founding member on the outs, Chris seeks a replacement whose hotness might melt the ice caps. But when the earth is overrun by a vicious species that can't be reasoned with or sexed up, the fractured team will have to hold together long enough to (un)screw the entire planet." - NOV211792 - WorldCat - ISBN 9781638490821 - Kindle This is (I think though might be mistaken) the first comic I’ve read from Vault, a publisher I’ve heard a lot of hype for, and while not bad I wasn’t a huge fan. I don’t know if I’ll bother with volume 2 to be honest.

She originally tried opening relations with Earth to help further their development, only to cancel it when President Kirk ruins everything being his obnoxious self.
