Phosphorescence by Denver Grenell-- Very real, very unique. The stoners here are super believable. Denver clearly has a gift for creating likable, fun, realistic and relatable characters!

Astorgos (Ashlei Johnson) --> Holly Cornett and her wife Eva are holidaying on the Amalfi Coast when they find themselves caught up in a meteor shower which leads to strange events unfolding... I did not expect the meteor shower plot line but I appreciate it and like it! A very good story full of emotion and horror! A lot to like here! 4.5/5 This collection tells some gruesome , intense, and gripping tales that will make you dread booking your summer getaway next year 😅 genuinley, all these stories are themed around beaches, holiday resorts , honeymoons , vacations and everything in between. There's murderous travellers and travel guides alike , there's world ending disasters, people questioning their own sanity in their desperate attempts to survive , and even, leeches coming out of someone's ass , yes , you read that correctly , it was bleak to say the least .Night Dive by Drew Starling – this one was claustrophobia personified. Even the thought of diving at night will make most squirm, but the story within makes sure to ruin this activity for everybody from here on out. Collections are always a mixed bag. The reader never knows what they are going to get. Upon opening the anthology, I was comforted by several familiar names in the horror community. The editors took their time curating this collection of beach terror. I really enjoyed these stories , the narration is fantastic and although the setting and themes are similar throughout no two stories felt the same. When news shared over a dinner party goes poorly, a man wanders out onto the beach to search for a man that abruptly left the party. But what he finds certainly isn’t what he was expecting. They Eat People, You Know by Rowan Hill (with Australian wilderness, two women alone on an isolated beach when strangers crash on their peace... this story builds tension and discomfort from beginning to the end).Ah! All I will say about this one is that I freaking love flash fiction that draws you in and only lets you know what’s actually going on in the last line! This was perfect! You may think you know where "They Eat People, You Know?" by Rowan Hill is going but you may be surprised. I guessed at the outcome but it didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the story. Suspenseful and well done. 4 Stars. Honeymoon by Simon J. Plant-- It took me a minute to get into this one, but once I did and I developed a suspicion for what was going on I was hooked.
