About this deal

The Vivobook does a great job of staying cool under pressure. When we tasked it with playing a Full HD video for 15 minutes and then swept a heat gun over the laptop, we found the touchpad stayed very cool and comfortable, only reaching a high of 77.9 degrees. The middle of the keyboard stayed low also, reaching a high of 82.8 degrees. The hottest spot on the laptop was the underside, which only achieved a bearable high of 86.5 degrees. Asus Vivobook Pro 14 review: Software and warranty Vivobook Pro 14 OLED keeps you fully connected, with comprehensive I/O ports including an any-way-up USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (USB-C) port, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, as well as an HDMI port and a microSD card reader - so you can easily connect your latest peripherals, displays, or projectors with zero hassle. Step away from your desk and into the future — whether it’s at home, in a downtown café, or at the airport. Your workspace is wherever you want it to be. Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is equipped with WiFi 6 (802.11ax), which delivers superfast networking speeds for faster large file transfers, responsive online gaming, and super-smooth video chats. It’s also enhanced with exclusive ASUS WiFi Master technology: this includes ASUS WiFi SmartConnect that automatically selects the best WiFi source, so your laptop connects seamlessly to the best WiFi signal and known mobile hotspots. AUDIO The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED falls in direct competition with the RedmiBook 15 Pro that has a similar set of specifications. But the Vivobook has better Cinebench scores than the RedmiBook has. In fact, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED has an overall impressive profile. But this splendor comes at a price due to 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. We did some basic stuff on the laptop, like browsing, watching Netflix and videos, using Microsoft office, and so on, and didn’t find any issues in the same. The laptop showed no problems when we performed same course of operations for around eight hours a day for over two weeks.

Vivobook Pro 14 OLED keeps you fully connected, with comprehensive I/O ports including an any-way-up USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C® (USB-C®) port, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, as well as an HDMI port and a microSD card reader — so you can easily connect your latest peripherals, displays, or projectors with zero hassle. NUMBERPAD Asus has come up with an all-new logo that shows “Asus Vivobook” engraved in silver color on a metallic patch (in the same Quite Blue color). This new logo which might be taking around 2x3-inch space on the right side of the lid could bother some users, but it actually adds some aesthetics to the mundane metallic-finished lid. The panel is also TUV Rheinland certified for minimum eye strain even for looking at the display for hours. On our handbrake test, the Vivobook Pro 14 took 6 minutes and 58 seconds to transcribe a 4k video to 1080p. Meanwhile, the XPS 15 took 8 minutes and 10 seconds, and the Surface Laptop 4 was even slower, taking a whopping 17 minutes. By the time the Surface Laptop 4 got done transcribing the video, I could’ve been done watching an episode of basically any anime. Research3 has shown that in a five-year-old child's eyes, approximately 60% of the received blue-light emissions pass through to the retina, compared to only around 20% for a 60-year-old adult. With ASUS OLED displays, the significantly lower blue light levels mean better eye care for children.

On conventional LCD displays, detail and color quality usually decrease dramatically as the brightness is reduced. But ASUS OLED laptops are able to show great detail at lower brightness settings due to their high contrast and their ability to maintain a wide color gamut at low brightness. When calculating the 3D color volume — which adds illumination to the traditional 2D color gamut — ASUS OLED displays have about a 60% higher color volume, offering better color performance at any brightness level. Since children's eyes are not fully developed, with a more transparent lens and cornea, harmful blue light can penetrate the eye more easily, potentially causing premature aging of the retina. It’s vivid. It’s vibrant. It’s Vivobook Pro 14 OLED, and it shows the true colors of your world. With its stunning 14-inch NanoEdge 2.8K OLED1 display and awe-inspiring Harman Kardon-certified audio, Vivobook Pro 14 OLED immerses you in whatever you’re doing, whether it’s work or play. Powered by the latest AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900HX Mobile Processor with NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3050 graphics and a dual-fan cooling system, and featuring ultrafast WiFi 6, the ultra-stylish Vivobook Pro 14 OLED lets you achieve your true potential. PERFORMANCE ASUS OLED laptops deliver exceptionally detailed and realistic visuals, with a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. This means that the colors reproduced on the display are richer and more vivid: it's ideal for color-intensive projects, but also enhances any kind of content.

When we ran it through the graphical benchmark for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Gathering Storm (Medium, 1080p), the Vivobook was able to run it at 77 frames per second. That greatly surpasses the Surface Laptop 4 (30 fps), and it even beats the Dell XPS 15 OLED (67.1 fps). Even when increasing the resolution to 3,840 x 2,400, the Vivobook could run the game at 41 frames per second, which still surpasses most non-gaming 4K laptops with similar prices. Asus Vivobook Pro 14 review: Battery life

ASUS OLED displays have a 0.2 ms response time — the fastest of any laptop, and 50x faster4 than the average laptop LCD display. In fact, most of LCD laptop displays have a response time between 10 and 25 ms. This ensures smoother fast-paced action scenes, low-latency gameplay, and subtle details like blur-free text scrolling. COLORS Heat is the enemy of performance. Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is always cool, thanks to its highly efficient dual-fan cooling system. This advanced cooling design ensures that your laptop stays cool to give you maximum performance, anytime and anywhere. ASUS IceCool Plus technology maximizes performance in even the thin and light form factor, with 3 fan profiles to choose from in MyASUS based on personal need. WIFI MASTER Blue light is known to cause visual discomfort and disrupt sleep quality. However, due to the nature of the special organic lighting materials in an OLED display, ASUS OLED laptops emit 70% less harmful blue light2, and they're also certified by TV Rheinland and SGS. More importantly, unlike traditional blue-light filters, shifting the spectrum means there's no need to compromise color accuracy.

The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 is a great option if you’re looking to mix business and pleasure. Not only will it perform well in day-to-day office work, with a big enough battery to get you through a workday without a charger, but the great sound quality and beautiful OLED display will also benefit you when you’re looking to relax and entertain yourself.

On the Cinebench, a CPU benchmark tool that assesses CPU’s single and multi-thread performance, the Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED scored just 1009 points, which isn’t too good for gaming. However, it scored 5119pts on the multi-core test, suggesting the laptop could offer an overall good experience for 3D rendering stuff like video editing, though it can struggle a bit because it can take some time in processing.
